The calculator's size varies in a rather bizarre fashion with relation to the mouse position. In full keypad form, the window should be allowed to resize only in the vertical direction, however if the mouse is close to the size of the window horizontally, the window balloons sideways. Also, in the toggled, minimized mode, the calculator cannot be as small horizontally as it can when the keypad is showing, and will jump to that size when you attempt to resize.

This problem was difficult to track down, and even now I don't know why it happened. However, I replaced the main window in the nib file with another main window that looked exactly the same and was hooked up exactly the same way, and got different, more acceptable behavior. It now behaves predictably (from a coding standpoint, it's still rather weird, but now the user can't see any of the weirdness).
