VXL 1.6 Released

The VXL consortium (including some of the world's top computer vision research groups and companies) is proud to announce the release of VXL 1.6.

VXL is a set of multi-platform C++ libraries for computer vision research and deployment. See http://vxl.sourceforge.net/

Some of the new features include:
- the matrix library, vnl, is now thread safe, fixing a major limitation with vxl
- preliminary support for wxWidgets
- vsl can now read/write very large matrices and images in low-memory situations
- PNG reader now supports sBIT for recovering the original bitdepth
