there seems to be a bug in vepl_gaussian_convolution. The execution of
the following simple program leads to a segmentation fault.
// The input image:
vil_image in = vil_load("alesi.pgm");
// The filter:
vil_image out = vepl_gaussian_convolution(in);
// Write output:
vil_save(out, "out.pnm", "pnm");
Has anybody ever tested/used this function or knows what the problem
Thanks in advance for any help,

I have occasionally seen a similar problem, and it occurs on the line
double* buf = new double[width*height];
inside the "apply_op" (core implementation) of vipl_gaussian_convolution.
At first sight I do not see an error in the program around that line.
Could somebody have a look at it? Maybe run purify on it?
