Is there any plan to create a new 'release' within a short period of
time? I'm working together with people located elsewhere. The version of
my code however needs a vxl version which is more recent than the
current (pretty outdated-old folder structure-) release, but won't work
with the current cvs version. I normally ship a frozen cvs-version, but
now it turns out that this version does not compile anymore on all
platforms with all compilers...
Always using the current cvs version is nasty, as I use to follow the
vxl evolution only from time to time. The current version only will be
current for a very short period of time. Continuously updating my
vxl-version and implicitly forcing the people with who I work together
to do the same seems no option.
A release which is not too outdated would solve quite a lot. It would be
some kind of reference point for collaborations. I can give people my
code with the guarantee that it will work with a released version.
Otherwise I end up with replacing a frozen cvs-version with a new frozen
