Miguel and Matt were interested in the code, so here we go.
Here's the code I've been working on. Currently it's configured to use
the vxl libraries, as opposed to being a part of them. You'll need to
edit the CMakeLists.txt to point to your vxl bin directory. Also, it
doesn't use any of the current vidl2 stuff, so if you get some weird
images, that have a square pattern then it's a problem with the palette.
Included is a sample app (which compiles to test[.exe]) which captures a
series of frames and displays them on the screen.
There are still a few things to do to make it nicer to use, but the
general functionality is there.
