I have updated the website in my working copy to make references to
svn rather than cvs. I'll commit it soon.
I have started inspecting how sourceforge updates the website and
realized that this was managed by a cron job which is not supported in
the shell anymore, although Amitha? is running the cronjob externally.
However, this is down since September 2008 apparently:
As far as I understand, I need to dump the current htdocs CVS contents
and checkout from SVN. After that, I need to figure out how are the
scripts in /home/groups/v/vx/vxl/cron being called? Where should I
modify them for automatic updating?
I'll proceed to fix the scripts and update the system as soon as
somebody identifies where I need to update the scripts or if it is an
offsite script that is running...
However, I think that we might be better off making a redirect to the
trac wiki. Note that the page can be made readonly (meaning that only
people with WIKI_ADMIN or TRAC_ADMIN permission can edit it). Here is
a preview of how it will look more or less (no links active):
If people like this idea, then I would just replace the contents of
the htdocs directory with a .htaccess containing the line:
Redirect 303 / http://apps.sourceforge.net/trac/vxl/wiki/
