I am using a vil_file_image to read images from disk, and now I want to render those images using OpenGL. In order to do that, I would need to have direct access to the raw buffer (bytes of pixels) containing the image. The only way I've discovered so far is using the get_section function, but this way is quite unefficient, as it duplicates the amount of memory used...
Is there any other way to acceede to the image buffer of a vil_image?
