we are actively using vgui.
Another benefit could be at vxl will get more
improvements. I also get he feeling there are
new fewer people in Oxford who are willing
to support it.

It seems to me that VGUI should be “elevated” to a core library of vxl.  It is now quite stable and is simple and easy to use.  I expect that students without excessive C++ skills would be able to use it in their projects.  The elevation would also increase interest in finishing some missing functions, such as window resize in MSF (I added this and will check it in on my next update).  Are there arguments against the move?
