I know this is a bit off-topic, but I'd like to announce that I'll be teaching a course on "Introduction to Python for Computer Vision" on June 5, 2014 in Boston, MA. If you normally use C++ with libraries like VXL for all your computer vision work, and you are interested in learning about Python for rapid prototyping, then this course is for you. It's also relevant if you normally use MATLAB for rapid prototyping and want to use Python as a free alternative.
The price of the course via early registration is $650. Early registration is available through May 16, 2014. The price of the course via regular registration is $815.
In addition, Kitware will be hosting a “Scalable Visualization using VTK, ParaView, & Python” training course on June 3, 2014, and a “Project Lifecycle Management with the CMake Family of Tools” training course on June 4, 2014. Both courses will be hosted in Boston.
If you have questions about the course feel free to ask me. The course does not cover VXL at this time because we do not have good Python bindings for VXL yet, but I've been working on obtaining sponsorship so that I can fix that.
