Purportedly,the j2k library can  be built on linux and MacOS it's just that I didn't commit the time to do it yet. since I didn't have proper access to such a machine until recently. Rest assured, as soon as I have some time on my hands I will take care of the cross-platform build of this package.
Until then I will use the findMFC to ensure that ATL components are present when the current platform is WIN32.

So will this be windows only support of j2k? Currently all v3p libraries are cross platform, and I would hope that j2k would move towards that goal as well.
