I'm trying to add vxl to the community supported repository of Arch Linux (AUR), and we use what should essentially be a fully automated installing process. I was wondering if instead of using the cmake interface, if the configure script was kept up to date and usable instead. I'm not really familiar with cmake, otherwise maybe I'd know some small detail about how it possibly calls the configure script with all the settings or something, but I just wanted to make sure, since compiling on my computer takes some crazy amount of time (hour plus, I think). Primarily, I just want to be able to set the directories via command line without having to deal with the interface. Is that possible with a simple --prefix, for example, to the configure script?
