Yes. Under Linux Debian 6.0 Squeeze I can't create virtual paths whose name contains a slash (=/).
Per example, I can't create a virtual folder called "Data 01/02/11" because when I left "VVV" program and I reenter my virtual path only has name like "11" (some character before slash were truncated.) Under Windows "VVV" works well.
