I got some troubles with Samba. It runs on the firewall machine and basically it runs correct. But the MasterBrowser ellection always fails. I think it has something to do with the firewall. Since I haven't had this problem when I ran the SuSEFirewall script.
How ever, I have a rule witch allows any connection from the whole LAN to the firwall. Is ther anything else I need to set so that Samba runs correctly ?
thanks

I hade to make a rule wicht allows any the services samba from the whole LAN
to the Firewall... even I had a rule that allows everything in this direction...

Thats because Vuurmuur currently handles the broadcast address in a strange way. For the browsing you need access to it and the samba services allows that. This is because some special rules are created then. I still intend to change how that works some day.
Cheers,
Victor
