Hi there, I'm trying to setup vuurmuur as an esay tool for configure outgoing traffic in SME server.
But SME it have it's own config variables that I don't want to touch, so I need to know if is possible to respect that rules and setup vuurmuur in a preconfigured server like SME, just for the out-going traffic?
Thanks

No, Vuurmuur will overwrite you existing rules. However, Vuurmuur does provide two options to use custom rules:
1. the Chain option. Sends traffic to a chain in which you can place you own rules. Note however, that only traffic with state NEW is sent to the chain.
2. the PRE-VRMR chains. Every table has special chains that you can place your own rules in. These rules are inspected before any Vuurmuur created rules are inspected.
You could move your existing rules to one of the above options.
Hope this helps,
Victor

Sorry but Where I can put PRE-VRMR rules-script??
I have installed it and it was so easy, beautiful interface, :-D
but I need at least to put the rules. and I can not find the PRE-VRMR chains location.
Thanks
It's not a script, these are chains that already exist. They are named:
PRE-VRMR-FORWARD
PRE-VRMR-INPUT
PRE-VRMR-OUTPUT
etc, etc.
You can put your own rules there.
Cheers,
Victor
