I updated my vufind site to the latest svn version. Now I cannot start up my
site; the web browser is reporting the following error:
Failed opening required 'Log.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php/PEAR') in
When I check for the include file -- Log.php -- I see that it is located
with the other Vufind modules, in this directory:
not at /usr/share/php/PEAR/Log.php
But it looks like php.ini on this Ubuntu box was originally set up to the
config flag "--with-pear=/usr/share/php"
What is best way to tell reset php to look for all PEAR modules under

Add /usr/bin/PEAR to the line include_path in php.ini.
If for whatever reason you don't want to do that, you may consider
adding the line
ini_set("include_path", ini_get('include_path') . ":/usr/bin/PEAR");
to the top of of VuFind's web/index.php to set the PHP include path...
