Hi all, I have been working on getting Vufind setup for our Voyager catalog at the ZSR library at Wake Forest University and have started thinking about how we could include the other WFU catalogs in our database. We have multiple databases (both bibliographic records and patron records). Patron authentication could be easy enough to handle through a drop-down menu but since our catalogs are based on separate databases it means that the unique accession numbers for our bibliographic records will sometimes overlap. My first thought is that we would have to modify our Voyager driver to support multiple connections but it seems like we would have to also make sure our bib records are appropriately identified. Before I go down this road, has anyone else tackled this yet or have any suggestions about the best way to proceed? Thanks, Erik Mitchell IT Development Librarian Z. Wow, I have half a draft of an email I started on Friday that asks this very question. I see a bunch of possible use cases for this (such as populating VuFind from OAI-PMH or, I don't know, Atom or something) so count me in as interested in the answer to this. -Ross.
