our undgrads when then return from Spring Break next week. See
There will be a survey tool of some kind to ask Creighton folks what
they think of the product. We anticipate public release for the 2011
Fall Semester, in August.
By the way, we are a SirsiDynix customer and use Symphony 3.3.1. We
don't use the so-called "Sirsi API" to obtain item records. We use
Oracle and don't have the "UNICODE extensions" for Symphony (though the
Oracle database itself is set to use UNICODE). I wrote a database view
that VuFind uses to get items.
I am writing a "MFHL Parser" in Oracle PL/SQL to expose MARC Format for
Holdings & Locations records, as those records are stored in Oracle
database Symphony uses. This parser will be basic, and not capable of
any fancy compression or expansion of holdings data for display in
