Theodoros, Can you implement this and submit a PR? I can try testing it. There could be a case where a (multi-branch) library doesn't allow users to choose a pickup location for their holds, but instead make them go to the branch that holds the actual item in order to pick it up. (It's not a rare case I believe) In that scenario, when a user requests a hold/recall on an specific item, the driver should be able to place the hold and define as pickupLocation the location of the actual item. So my proposal is this: if pickUpLocation is empty in KohaILSDI.ini and there is no defaultLocation either, the driver should put as pickupLocation the current branchcode of the item. This would work well with item-level holds and should be fairly easy to implement. If title-level hold is used, a dynamic list of pickuplocations could be created with the branchcodes that have this item and provided to the end-user to choose from (just as it happens with 'static' pickUpLocations in the KohaILSDI driver) What do you think?
