I think you should be able to pull the data out in the MARC record driver; there may be some code in there to ignore numeric subfields, but I think there's a way around it. Let me know if you need some more specifics and I can review exactly how things work currently (though I probably won't get there until next week). - Demian ________________________________________ From: Nathan Tallman [nta...@gm...] Sent: Friday, February 22, 2013 2:42 PM To: HL Cc: Demian Katz; vuf...@li...; sol...@go... Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Indexing Numerical subfields FYIW, we're on VuFind 1.3 and don't seem to have this problem. While the numerical subfields aren't indexed, or even displayed, they do show correctly in the staff view. See the 300 field here for an example <http://americanjewisharchives.org/catalog/Record/vtls000011097/Details#tabnav>. I have been wondering how to get them to display in the description tab though, along with other 300 information. Do you need to access information in a numerical subfield in order to index it to a custom place? Or do you simply not want to see the numeric values in the staff view? If you let us know a little more about what you want, hopefully we can help you achieve it. I'm also copying this to solrmarc-tech for your convenience. >> >> - Demian >> ________________________________________ >> From: HL [fre...@gm...] >> Sent: Friday, February 22, 2013 1:30 PM >> To: vuf...@li... >> Subject: [VuFind-General] Indexing Numerical subfields >> >> Hi, >> >> I am running the vf 2.0(git) >> >> I suppose that this q should also be placed in to the solrmarc group also. >> >> I cannot figure out how to index numerical subfields in a marc record ie >> $4 or $3 etc ... >> >> Thus after indexing the marc records in stuff view >> I am getting the >> >> 700 1 |a Hargreaves |b Roger $4 070 >> >> in other words the subfield 700b index contains the whole string "Roger >> $4 070" >> >> Is there any way to bypass this problem from the marc_local.properties ?? >> Do I have to write a script about this ?? >> >> >> Thanks in advance >> Rgrds >> Harry >> >> >> >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >> Everyone hates slow websites.
