I don't know if this is the same transformation you are using, but in case you are interested, there's a MAB-to-MARC tool here: http://vufind.org/jira/browse/VUFIND-461 If it's different from the one you have, it might be interesting to compare results. - Demian ________________________________________ From: Katharina Wolkwitz [wol...@fh...] Sent: Friday, March 30, 2012 10:05 AM To: vuf...@li... Subject: Re: [VuFind-General] Tuning Links in Vufind Hi Ere, we're not really using MARC at all, but a German library-data-format called MAB which is translated into MARC when we're exporting the data for vufind. The translation-file is one taken from the ILS'-developers/-vendors ExLibris and as I am very much non-fluent in either MAB or MARC, it's beyond my capabilities to "proof-read" it... Since there are only a few German-Aleph-using-libraries working with or testing vufind yet, I guess there are quite a few pitfalls (like wrong data-format-mapping) ahead of us. And since in Germany every library seems to use its own "interpretaTion" of MAB, the possibilities for pitfalls become almost endless. :-) Is MARC used as widely "diversified" as well?
