I've been tinkering with the OpenSRF HTTP gateway with some interesting results. Unfortunately I haven't had time recently to tinker with VuFind. Through simple http queries you can get JSON results. I used the net monitoring feature in Firebug to watch as the Evergreen OPAC did it's thing. Through this method I think you can find just about everything you need except the logon stuff. Here are some examples: Get ID's for the following ISBN? 0875483038 http://<YOUR EVERGREEN>/osrf-gateway-v1?service=open-ils.search&method=open-ils.search.biblio.isbn&locale=en-US¶m="0875483038" Result - Notice the 2 ID's {"payload":[{"count":2,"ids":["43576","202977"]}],"status":200} Get Details for item 43576 http://<YOUR EVERGREEN>/osrf-gateway-v1?service=open-ils.search&method=open-ils.search.biblio.record.mods_slim.retrieve&locale=en-US¶m=43576 Result {"payload":[{"__c":"mvr","__p":["A Tolkien compass : including J. R. R. Tolkien's Guide to the names in The lord of the rings","Lobdell, Jared",43576,null,"[1975]","0875483038","Open Court","01-0013349",{"Tolkien, J. R. R. Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 10:21:18 AM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: [VuFind-Tech] VuFind on Evergreen Just an update on my Evergreen driver work. Currently the Circ. Status, Holdings, Checked Out Items, Holds and Recalls, Fines, Profile, and New Items functions are working. The Place Hold is redirecting to the Evergreen OPAC, although I hope to change that before we go live. I know that some would like to see this driver implemented via OpenSRF. So would I. However, I don't feel that I've got the time or expertise to do it with the documentation that is currently available. So for the moment, the driver is implemented with SQL calls. If somebody would like a system to test their OpenSRF work on, I'd be happy accommodate!
