As long as they are styled similarly, it should make it possible to suppress the enumeration with a single line of css, so that makes me think the default should show enumeration. †That is to say, they should be <li> in a <ol> (with a start attribute).

It actually looks like in Blueprint, we number search results and favorites but not checked out items, while in Bootstrap, we number search results but not favorites or checked out items. I donít think any of this is really the result of a conscious decision.

I personally have no strong preference. Chris likes the current Bootstrap way. Does anyone else have thoughts on the matter?
