I haven't looked at it yet but I hope to use it soon. Thanks, Tod!

Sounds great, thanks! Should probably link that page from somewhere within the user manual as well....

I'll create https://vufind.org/wiki/vufind2:solr_replication, since I need somewhere to put the configuration information I have as well. Sound ok?

Thanks for sharing. We should definitely put this somewhere for future reference. Just not sure if it belongs in master (seems like a fairly specialized use case to justify putting it in the root directory of VuFind, but there's not another logical place at the moment) or if we should create a replication wiki page and attach it there for starters.

Also, it looks like you need to scrub an institution-specific URL from a comment at the bottom of the file before sharing it further....

Thoughts?

vufind-tech,

Attached is a Bash script to pull browse indexes from another host. The idea is that if you are running a solr slave to keep the indexing load away from searches, you probably want to do the same for the alphabetical browse indexes.  But there's no replication for SQLite! Prereqs are curl and passwordless ssh/scp between the hosts for the administrative user. Pretty normal stuff.

If this is of interest I'd be happy to contribute it to the general distribution as a utility, with whatever stylistic or substantive changes seem appropriate.
