We’ve been working on improving the results for our title searches. Currently, the title search operates like a keyword search for each word in the title. So, the most relevant search results may include documents that have one of the words in the search term repeated multiple times, while an exact match for the title appears further down in the search results, or not at all. This is particularly a problem with foreign language titles.
What we’re trying to do with the title search is make documents with an exact match for the search term always show up as the most relevant results. This doesn’t happen unless you enclose the search term in quotes. Is this something that we can adjust in searchspecs.yaml, or do we need to look at the way the searches themselves are constructed?
