There are a few notes in the Wiki here:

http://vufind.org/wiki/marc_export_notes#exlibris_aleph

However, I’m not an Aleph user, so they don’t mean much to me, and I’m not sure if they will help you or not.  We have several Aleph users on the list, so hopefully you’ll get a more detailed response before too long!  Assuming they’re not already detailed enough to answer your question, maybe we can expand the wiki notes in addition to answering your question to make this easier for the next person.

Subject: [VuFind-General] Aleph-Vufind: Exporting Data out of Aleph to Generate a Vufind-Index

Hi all,

recently I installed a demo instance of Vufind and fed it with fake bibliographic data to get an impression of the software. Now I would like import data from our Aleph-ILS with the purpose of connecting it to the ILS and letting Vufind load the availibility status of our media etc.

Actually we are using here the standard Aleph-OPAC and therefore I have no clue how to get the data for Vufind. So here is my question to all Aleph-Libraries: How did you export data out of Aleph to make it usable for Vufind? What exactly did you export? Is there anything else I have to consider?  Many thanks in advance!

All best,

Christian
