I have just pulled the trigger and made the DNS change.  Since both servers are running at the same time, you should not notice any outage.

The DNS change will most likely take a few hours to propagate through the Internet.  Hopefull the new server will take over with no glitches!

Apologies for the cross-list posting, but I want to be sure everyone is aware of this….

Sometime this week (probably this afternoon or sometime tomorrow), I will be migrating vufind.org (which includes JIRA, the demo instance, and the wiki) to a new dedicated server.  During the transition, some or all of these services may be temporarily unavailable.

One unfortunate side effect of the move is that the wiki password database will not work correctly on the new server.  This is going to force everyone to reset their passwords.  I will post a reminder of this on the wiki login page.  Apologies in advance for the inconvenience, but hopefully this will be a small price to pay for a more powerful and reliable website.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or problems.  I'll post another message when the changeover is complete.
