#17 ReadPropertyMultiple Service Workaround
I am trying to use the VTS to a bacnet historian. However when the historian polls for points it can only use the ReadPropertyMultiple Service. According to the documentation. "VTS also now claims to support ReadPropertyMultiple but will reject any request of this type. This was done for testing client devices to ensure they can fallback to ReadProperty if the ReadPropertyMultiple request fails." Is their a way around this so that VTS does not reject the readproperymultiple service?
Is there a way around his? Sure: download the source code to VTS and implement the feature.
VTS as a server is pretty limited, as you have found. Even if you implementedthe ability to service ReadMultiple, you would need to hand edit all the properties and values that you want to read.
VTS was primarily designed to be a client to be used to test BACnet servers. So if you need significant server capability, you probably need to look for another tool
