I am preparing for BTL and using VTS version 3.6.4.0, however it would appear that the ‘Load EPICS’ function does not fully support the Network Security, Access Point, Access Zone, Access User, Access Rights, Access Credential and Credential Data Input object types.
If I include some specified properties for these objects in the EPICS they are rejected as being ‘invalid or unknown’ for example the present-value property of a Credential Data Input object.
Other properties are reported as being required when they are not even specified for the object, for example loading a Network Security object indicates that the status-flags, event-state and out-of-service properties are required.
I have also found that if I follow a property value with “C” to indicate ‘conditionally writable’ as per section 4.5.10 of 135.1-2013 it is rejected as ‘unexpected data after property value’ by the Load EPICS command.
Finally, we have a schedule object which uses a Boolean as the present-value and I have found that I cannot specify TRUE or FALSE as the value in the weekly-schedule property as Load EPICS rejects it with ‘Expected Unsigned Integer here…: ( { 07:00, <T>’.
Features are added to VTS primarily by the people who need them. Feel free to download the code from SourceForge and have a go. I can help you get your changes committed.
