User Preferences

In the Preferences area you can configure your personal information. To access it, click on user avatar icon in the upper right, click Preferences, then update the following details and click Save.

  • User Login & Role. Through this box you can: change your password, change status (active, not active, but only if you are administrator), specify your primary email, specify your first name, specify your last name, choose type of currency, assign role (only displayed for admin users), choose the type of menu view, modify the Default module after login, choose theme, choose language, choose timezone, choose to receive notifications (via e-mail or directly in VTE). You can also change talks and notifications settings. Moreover you can activate the Active Sync feature (a mechanism to synchronize your smartphone calendar and addressbook with vteddy).
  • More information. Here you can update your personal information like phone number, other email, decimal point separator, etc. Enable Internal Mail Composer if you want to use vteddy to send e-mail.
  • User Address. It's your personal information about your address. You can update address details like city, state, country, etc.
  • User image. To upload photo and avatar. From the edit mode, click on Choose file, browse for an image and upload it. After the uploading, you can set your personal avatar which will appear in the menu at the top right and in conversations.
  • Calendar Configuration. Here you can configure your calendar setting up Reminder Interval, Default calendar View, Date Format and many more.
    • Default Calendar View: vteddy supports different views in Calendar module; select preferred view from the drop-down to make it default view
    • Date Format: select desired date format
    • Reminder Interval: set-up time interval for event reminder popup to appear again after it is closed
    • Day Starts at: customize your working hour on calendar view
    • Disable Sunday in week view: flag it if you want to disable sunday in week view
    • You can also decide with whom to share your calendar (Share calendar with) and which users do you want to see their calendars (Show Calendar users).
  • Asterisk configuration (for calls). If vteddy is integrated with Asterisk you have to enter here the extension (ex: SIP/111).
  • User Advanced Options.
  • Desktop Components. Where you can choose what to see in the home page.
  • Notification settings. Where you can decide which notifications you want to receive.
  • My Groups. Where you can see the groups to which you belong.
  • Login History. Your system access history.
  • Notification settings. Allow you to choose which notifications you want to receive.
