What is a Conctact?

Contact is a set of informations about a person. The person could be linked to an Organization or acting as individual. If the Contact works for a company, then the Contact will be directly related to a record belonging to the Organizations module.
Since Conctacts could be an active part of your business, the system provides relations with other modules (and maintains log of complete history). Default relations are with:

  • Activities: to view or create Events and To-dos
  • Messages: to view the emails sent to or received to Contact record
  • Products: you can relate here the products that might interest your contact
  • Documents: to view the documents related

How to create a new Conctact?

You can enter a new Conctact by clicking on the “+” menu icon from Conctact module. At this point, the system shows you the Create Conctact view and you can fill in with Conctact details. Please note that some fields are mandatory.
When you have finished up, click Save button.


How to manage existing Conctacts?

From the Conctacts home page, you can:

  • Search desired records (also with advanced search if you want) and define custom filters to classify records that match your requirements. You can limit your search to selected columns and search criteria.
  • Select a/some record/s from the list and then Edit (a new window is shown with the possibility to enter the values for the fields), Delete, or Send out emails.
  • Click Settings button (the wrench icon) to configure fields and customize the layout of fields (Layout Editor), to view/create Workflows on the module, to modify the picklist values (Picklist Editor).

From the detail view of a Conctact record, you can:

  • Edit existing content (Edit button on the top-right of the page)
  • Link the record to other system records, even new records (Link button on the top-right of the page)
  • Delete the existing record (from Other menu)
  • Duplicate the existing record (from Other menu)
  • Select “Add Event” to schedule a Call or Meeting and “Add Task” to schedule a To-do (from Other menu)

How to import Conctacts from existing files?

The system supports importing Conctacts from external sources such as .csv files. It's possible to import thousands of records instantly, saving lots of time and efforts.
To import from a .csv file, click on import icon (the arrow pointing down) and follow the steps.


How to export Conctacts to external source?

You can export Conctacts records to have your data in the form of a spreadsheet.
To export Conctacts in a .csv file, click on export icon (the arrow pointing up) and follow the steps.
In the Export Records page, you could:

  • export selected records (to export the records selected in list view)
  • export data in current page (to export all the records that are on the current list view page)
  • export all data (to export all records)

If you have previously done a research, you can choose to export the results of such research, or to export without the search results.
