#691 User Manual for 2.21.0 Needs Some Clarification

The section of the manual "Load from FIle" needs a bit of clarifiation.

With the preference now added to operate this dialog like ver. 2.20 or in the newer 2.21 mode with multiple observation sources handled, I think there will be confusion. The section describes the 2.21 mode. Perhaps the section should start out describing the preference and then refer to the 2.20 UM for the older mode.

Another possible source of confusion is that the images of the dialog boxes (from Mac) are moderately different from what I see on Windows. Perhaps it should be stated that the layout is OS dependent. This applies to other sections of the UM as well.

A small thing: p. 9 reads The file chooser that opens defaults to "Tet Format File" makes me look for this phrase in the dialog. Perhaps this should say "Download or Simple"?

Thanks for picking up the Download or Simple error. I'ved fixed that.

I've added a sentence at the end of the Introduction section re: OS dependence:

Note that user interface screenshots of components such as file choosers, dialogs and windows were taken from VStar running on Mac OS X and will differ from other operating systems such as Windows and Linux.

It's unclear how best to proceed with the obs source preference issue, so for now I've presented the default reality (obs sources are selectable in the file chooser; the plugin pref checkbox defaults to being unselected) and then after the file chooser is shown have added this:

Note that in earlier versions of VStar, instead of observation sources being selectable in the file chooser as shown above, they appeared as File menu items. It is still possible to have observation source plugins appear in the File menu instead of the file chooser's Source selector by selecting the Show all observation sources in File menu? checkbox in plugin preferences. See the Preferences section.

How does that seem?

Both of those seem ok to me. I was surprise how different the layout manager operates for Windows even swapping left and right sometimes.

Yes indeed. It's the intersection of layout manager and GUI look and feel, mostly the latter.
