- summary: Permit Excel or equation view of model. --> Checkbox to permit Excel, R or ... view of model equation.
The Model Info dialog should permit an Excel or equation view of a model. This may be more useful to someone than the current form, e.g.
f(t) = 3.87983149
+0.16036346 × cos(2π0.18656716t)-0.27285370 × sin(2π0.18656716t)
+0.11012972 × cos(2π0.37313433t)-0.01672236 × sin(2π0.37313433t)
+0.02119347 × cos(2π0.55970149t)+0.02377117 × sin(2π0.55970149t)
would look like this in Excel:
=sum(3.87983149, 0.16036346 * cos(2*PI()*0.18656716*A1)-0.27285370 * sin(2*PI()*0.18656716*A1), 0.11012972 * cos(2*PI()*0.37313433*A1)-0.01672236 * sin(2*PI()*0.37313433*A1), 0.02119347 * cos(2*PI()*0.55970149*A1), 0.02377117 * sin(2*PI()*0.55970149*A1))
where A1 replaces t, and assumes that JD values will be in A1..n. A fill-down operation in Excel would change this to Am, m > 1.
I suppose a plugin category coud be created for exporting models in VStar but that's probably overkill. Choosing common tools like Excel and R makes good sense.
There probably is a place for a general category of data exporter plugin though. That's the opposite of observation source plugin.
For R, '+' line continuation characters would be required at the start of each line if split over more than one line.
