Hi all- I've ready the vast majority of material I could get my hands on via google and still can't seem to figure out the cluster portion of the VSC project. I've got to the point that I can use the webform and request scans through it. The problem is these scans all run locally on the machine that is running vsc. From what I gather the setup should look something like this: Director | | Real Server My problem is where in the heck does VSC come into the mix? Is the server that is running vsc supposed to make use of the vsc_dr-node configuration? I thought that configuration was only for 'Real Servers.' I am assuming things should go something like this: Web Request comes in ==> Director ==> Real Server ==> VSC ==> Real Server with Real Server and VSC being different machines. The vsc_dr and vsc_dr-node configs appear to create a local cluster interface on 10.0.1.5 but do I also need to create a VirtualIP via the director so machines can access it via the web -OR- is the directors ACTUAL IP the one the end users access via the web? If someone could chart out where the server running VSC is supposed to fit into the mix (and if this server needs to be running nessusd as well) that would be spectacular! Thanks, Alex |
