Hi, I'm currently trying to configure a flock of birds for our virtual = reality CAVE. I came across the following line in the juggler docs: The Flock of Birds=AE driver in VR Juggler 2.0 does not work correctly. = The VRPN or Trackd drivers must be used instead to access the Flock of = Birds=AE tracking system. So is this still valid for version 2.0.2?=20 The reason I'm asking this, is because I'd like to know whether there is = any point in trying to set it up using the vrjuggler driver or not. Otherwise I'll just try VRPN right away :) Thank you, Wouter |

Sorry for the previous e-mail; pressed the wrong key :) @Dan What kind of limitations does the VRPN driver have? @Patrick We use both windows and linux with 2.6 kernel. Hi again, I'm currently trying to get the FOB to work with vrjuggler on windows XP. I've included the config file I'm using. Comport and baudrate settings are correct. The fob does work with the winbird test-application provided by ascension-tech. I've added an inputmanager to the configuration, which loads the flock_drv. I also added a driver scan path to the inputmanager, which I set to the path with the Bird.dll win32 driver from ascension-tech. As a result, the driver does try to initialize the FOB, but somehow fails in doing so.
