In Linux you can execute the system as a daemon. Use the script VRd.py, available in the folder PC, as follows:

sudo ./VRd.py [start | stop | foreground]

Once the program starts as a daemon you won't see anything on the standard output. However you can see the system log and the domotic commands that the "dumb" server receives. The location of these 2 files are specified in the configuration file as well as the location of the pid file.
