If you think you can create better audio or you have already done it, please send the audio to camotito at gmail dot com and I will include it in new releases.
Five messages are used in this voice interface. You must 1st create them and then compress them in a specific order, if this order is not followed the system will play the messages out of context.
To create your own audio messages for the voice-recognition interface follow these instructions (extracted from the EasyVR manual):

  • Prepare/record the audio files in WAV format, uncompressed 16-bit
22050Hz mono. To create the sound files you may use a free software like Audacity for example
    (http://audacity.sf.net)
  • Open Sensory’s QuickSynthesisTM 5. This is the software used to compress the audio. Create a new project, specifying “RSC4 family”

  • Add your WAV files and specify one of the supported compression scheme (see table). Here you must add the files in following order:

    1. message that the system use to greet the user
    2. message that asks where or in which room to apply the action
    3. message that acknowledged the correct recognition of an action and a place
    4. message that asks the user to repeat the last sentence
    5. message that is played when the system didn't hear anything during more than 5 seconds (timeout)
  • Build the project with QuickSynthesisTM and use default settings (“Build linkable module”, “Load in
CONST space”, “Load above or at: 0”). You will be asked to recompress new or modified sound files,
    just confirm and proceed

  • Now save your project and build it once again, so that the EasyVR Commander will see that your
    build is up to date.
