Always reproducible on amd cards.
Radeon cards show poor performance headroom, having stuttering and losing 2-3 frames per second, sistematicly.
This stuttering issue ruins playability on any pinball table.
Neverthless supersampling or not set, nor any other options in VP or Oculus/SteamVR settings (they of course hit on perform), Amd cards show strong drop downs in headroom performance every few miliseconds (a fixed timestamp, reaching negative values shown through oculus debug tool) which follow fps drops of course.
Tested in vp 1.6 and 1.7 with related vpvr version.
Tested with amd radeon vega 64, radeon 6800 and 6900xt cards, and nvidia gtx 1070, 3060 and 3070.
Nvidia cards have no issue at all.
Win 10 64bits. on 3700x processor, 16gb ddr4, nvme.
Attached capture showing frecuently fixed fps drops due to frecuently fixed drop in performance headroom.
can confirm, am having this same issue on Win 10 and AMD Vega card with Pimax headset and SteamVR. Stuttering 2-3 times per second.
EDIT: After a complete wipe and reinstall of Windows 10 and related software, this problem has disappeared
