The Volunteer Base project is designed to manage volunteers for educational programs overseas.

This guide is intended to help users with the database software.

Navigation

All pages have the same header which provides a list of 'quick links'. To access the desired function, click on the corresponding link.

Configuration

This chapter is about the software configuration. You can customize or add new elements as needed. To be able to use the software, some minimum elements must be provided.

  • [Options]: contains all the codifications
  • Countries: list of all the countries
  • [Programs]: list the programs covered by the organization

Contries

The countries page contains the list of all the countries.
The demo version contains all the ISO codes.

Contact

A contact can be any person, volunteer or partnership.

  • [Person]: any individual. It could be a parent of a volunteer, a volunteer, a staff member, the plumber...
  • [Volunteer]: a person who wish to participate in a [Program]. Eventually, the person will fill an [Application].
  • [Partnership]: any company, donor, contributor who is not an individual and give any service.

A contact can be attached to [Communications], [Documents] and [Donations].

Event

[Event] is a major part of the activity. You can schedule and link the events to the organizers and participants.

Fundraising

A main part of the [Fundraising] is provided by donors (see [Donations]) and another part is the contribution of each volunteer to fund raise his/her project.
