Version 1.2 Released

UPDATE: This version contains a significant bug: snapshots crop out the top 60 pixels of the screen unless the -rect option is used. An updated version will be available shortly.

New in this release is the ability to get multiple snapshots, using the
-count and -fps options.

This release also includes a version of vncpasswd usable on Windows.
vncpasswd is also built on Unix/Linux systems to allow you to use it without

1.0 Beta 2 Release

This new release contains only documentation updates. Added documentation is a Unix style manual ("man") page. Documentation updates include, in particular, warnings to users to use only zlib 1.1.4 or later, as previous versions have a security loophole.

Currently only a binary for Linux is available; other platforms will follow shortly.

Binary releases deleted from 1.0 Beta 1 files

The binary releases - precomiled versions for Linux, Solaris, and Windows - have been deleted from the available files, as these versions use zlib 1.1.3, which contains a security vunerability. 1.0 Beta 2 will contain instructions on getting the proper version of zlib and binaries linked with zlib 1.1.4.
