I have a TightVNC installation on an ubuntu box at home. When I'm at home, I
can use that same computer to connect to itself, using my router's IP (not
just localhost) and the java viewer comes up fine and works.
When I am at work, the page shows up for authentication. When I type in the
same password, it hangs for a bit and gives me the following error:
"java.net.ConnectException: Connection time out: connect.".
Any ideas on what is going on? Is my work web proxy blocking that traffic? I
would have thought that I wouldn't be able to see the authentication page if
that was the case.
