The password is not always needed (like with the
http://www.sourcecodecorner.com/articles/vnc/linux.asp setup, also with many
other setups) Hence it might confuse users.
For M$Windows based viewers, you can save the connection info to a (*.vnc)
file. You can include the password if you like (or not if you don't like it)
then, you start the *.vnc file which will launce the vncviewer direct to the
needed machine. If not saved with the connection info and needed for the
server, the session will ask the password.
In the end, you are right, it can be handsome.
