I enabled the "Poll full screen option" - I still get the cursor offsets, but at least the screen is upadating more often so I can track the remote cursor easier and actually click on things (as long as the cursor offset allows me). Thanks, that was a big help! Any idea what's causing the offset??? >Date: Thu, 20 Jul 2006 17:12:01 +0200 >From: "Tim Costermans" <t.c...@gm...> >Subject: Re: TightVNC and games - cursor problem >To: vnc...@li... >Message-ID:> <4aa...@ma...> >Content-Type: text/plain; charset=3D"windows-1252" > >Do you have the option "Poll full screen" enabled on the tightvnc server? > >It sound to me that only the area around the cursor is refreshed. > > >On 7/18/06, David Lutz <dl...@co...> wrote: >> >> I'm using TightVNC to remotely maintain a game server. David, By default the VNC system uses absolute cursor positions, whereas your game is probably looking for relative pointer motion, hence the strange behaviour you're seeing. VNC Enterprise & Personal Editions support relative pointer motion, which should fix things for you.
