  thanks for posting.
You're right, I didn't release yet.
Together with Benoit Desjardins we're trying to make vmtk build and  
work smoothly on mac OSX, and I was trying to hold on until I succeeded.
However, I think it's time to release a beta of the next version  
since this situation may generate confusion.
I'll do it before the end of the week
