I would like to change the default location for the ins files
from /home/user/Documents but when I try to change it in
the gui it doesnt take. Is there a config file somewhere?
I have vmpk working with jack via qjackctl and qsynth
and it looks very nice. I have a question about playing
chords on the pc keyboard. Is there any limit to the
number of simultaneous notes, I see problems at
3 to 4 notes.

The limit to simultaneous pressed keys in many cheap alphanumeric computer keyboards is a hardware problem, called "ghosting". It is well explained in this article.
