Hello, I created a VMWare Workstation 8 VMDK which contains Windows 10 x86. I kinda suspected this tool VMDK2Phys might fail because VMDK format might change throughout workstation versions, not sure though. Windows 10 x86 has two partitions, a recovery partitation of roughly 500+ MB and then the C drive partition containing the rest. VMDK2Phys copied the VMDK to the USB Stick. The USB Stick was then "mounted" use in a new virtual machine to test it out. Windows 10 could not boot properly, and instead...

Using Vmdk2Phys i can easily restore VHD to the beginning point of the hard drive....
