I have a nagging suspicion that setting up a maven repository is expected for most maven projects. Considering that we now have 27 artifacts, it might be time to set one up and learn how to use it.
perceived benefits:
- no (or less) need to rebuild something if it's already in the repository.
- easier to get started if hard-to-get jars are already in the repository.
- can start playing with/exploring releases and versions
perceived risks:
- perhaps more security problems since db passwords will live in the jars in the repository
