VividEngine2OS / Vivid3D Progress Reports: Recent posts


In an IDEal world.

We're working on the IDE atm - it will be a native .net Windows app. no plans for mac/linux atm.

IT will be like Unity3D/Unrealengine 4 in ways, and completely new and unique in others.
Not much else to report, it's early days - but we have 3 artists helping us make what we hope to be groundbreaking tech demos using it.

Vivid3D - Progress report - (6th Nov 2017)

The IDE is starting to take shape. There is a login app, which boots into the project manager, which will eventuallt boot into the project editor/ide. Not only does it have a very nice custom UI - it also makes use of speech synthesis to speak to the user.
The UI is 100% custom/wrote within vivid3d using OpenGL - and it is skinnable. the skin system is easy to implement and as powerful as needed
The current skin is a bit Windows 10 - i.e nice clear colors, and no 'artificial' gradients etc - But as said, it has a skin system and its only one new class per skin - so feel free to go nuts!... read more
