[Visualpython-users] step-thru debugger for VPython programs

I really would like a debugger that lets me step thru VPython programs line by line. The one in VIDLE (actually it’s in the shell window’s menu) doesn’t seem to work. When I try to use it, I run the program and everything hangs and I have to force quit Python. Any suggestions?

Hi Joe,

I just tried running some examples from within the current version of the
PyCharm Community Edition IDE and it works for me. PyCharm is a great IDE
and they recently made a lightweight version of it free and open sourced it.
