when running configure, it stops with the following error message=18
checking for gthread >=3D 1.0... Package gthread was not found in the pkg-co=
nfig search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gthread.pc'
to the PKG=5FCONFIG=5FPATH environment variable
No package 'gthread' found
configure: error: GThread is required on Unix-like systems
although PKG=5FCONFIG=5FPATH contains the directory that contains gthread.pc
