For Windows, 4.beta11 is now available at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/visualpython. This release fixes a
problem with quitting a program. No new version for Linux, as it didn't
have the quitting problem.
Arthur Siegel fixed the problem. Jonathan Brandmeyer provided helpful
background information.
There remains (at least) one serious problem on Windows, which is that
some animations unaccountably run in a very jerky manner. The demo
program gas.py is an example of this.
